It’s been a difficult year for hospitality, there’s no doubt about that. But despite the obstacles facing the industry, from the soaring costs of produce and rents to post-Brexit staff shortages and changes in consumer behaviours, the UK continues to triumph with its incredible food scene, highlighted by the National Restaurant Awards 2025 - the winners of which were announced last night.
The star-studded list of the UK’s culinary finest is broad and eclectic, with raved-about newbies like Wildflowers making their first appearances to stalwart hotspots remaining at the top (looking at you The Ledbury). And though 55 of them are in the capital, it's not just about London here of course; restaurants across the UK, from Liverpool and Yorkshire to Edinburgh and Powys, are being celebrated for their stunning produce and impressive cookery.
Read on for the full list of winners, including the 100 best restaurants in the UK and those who received special awards (such as the Estrella Damm Sustainability Award and Gastropub of the Year).
The Ritz (left), AngloThai (middle) and Moor Hall (right) are all featured in the top 100 restaurants list.
